Local Hospitalist Receives High Honors
Brett McFadden, MD, FACP, a hospitalist and internist practicing at Brazosport Regional Health System, has been elected a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP), the national organization of internists and internal medicine subspecialists. Brazosport Regional Cancer Center Installs Linear Accelerator
Brazosport Regional Cancer Center has recently accepted delivery of the Elekta Synergy®, the world’s first radiation treatment system with an integrated 3D imaging system that will enable clinicians to image and treat patients simultaneously. Quality Care Close to Home – Brazosport Regional Cancer Center Receives High Esteems
The Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACoS) has granted Three-Year Approval with Commendation to the Cancer Center at Brazosport Regional Health System. Hand Therapist Receives 2008 Shining Star Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Hand Therapist
Congratulations to Peggy Boineau, OTR, CHT, Hand Therapist at Brazosport Regional Outpatient Rehabilitation Services for receiving the 2008 Shining Star Award from the Texas Chapter of the American Society of Hand Therapists (ASHT). Boineau joined Brazosport Regional Health System last October as a Certified Hand Therapist who provides specialized rehabilitation of the hand and arm. Read complete story here.

Local Gastroenterologist Receives High Honors
Brazosport Regional Health System is proud to announce that Gastroenterologist, Khanh Ngoc Le, M.D. from The GI Center is now certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). ABIM certifies one out of every third practicing physicians in the United States. Dr. Le is now board certified in both specialty of Internal Medicine and subspecialty of Gastroenterology. Dr. Berger Performs New Innovative Kidney Removal Procedure
Alisa Berger, M.D., a urologist at Brazosport Urology recently performed the new Hand-Assisted Laparoscopic Nephrectomy (HALN) procedure at Brazosport Regional Health System. Brazosport Regional Health System Expands Cancer Center
Nearly 1.4 million Americans were diagnosed with cancer in 2007 and according to the Texas Department of Health Services, approximately 1,166 new cases of cancer arose in Brazoria County. As the only comprehensive cancer facility in Brazoria County, Brazosport Regional Cancer Center, a center of excellence at Brazosport Regional Health System, will expand their services and their technological capabilities. Brazosport Health Foundation Presents the Bluebonnet Social Club
Brazosport Health Foundation, a division of Brazosport Regional Health System, is proud to announce the formation of The Bluebonnet Social Club, a new social event created to raise funds and awareness for high-quality healthcare in Brazoria County. The Bluebonnet committee, comprised of some of the area’s most civic-minded leaders, is poised to fully support this effort.
