As a service of Brazosport Regional Health System, Surgical Services provides comprehensive and innovative patient care services. We embrace continuous quality improvement as a way of delivering our service. Our goal is to provide quality, individualized care that addresses the unique age-specific needs in a safe environment to meet the total needs of the surgical patient.

Facilities at Brazosport Regional Health System include four operating rooms, a cystoscopy suite, a procedure room, three endoscopy suites, and a post anesthesia care unit.

Surgical Services

We provide the following surgical services to the pediatric, adolescent, adult and gerontologic patient populations:
      · General
      · Urologic
      · Orthopedic
      · Ophthalmologic
      · Obstetrical/Gynecological
      · Otolaryngologic
      · Oral/Maxillofacial
      · Podiatric
      · Trauma
      · Plastic/Reconstructive
      · Peripheral Vascular
      · Thoracic
      · Laparoscopic Surgery
      · Cardiac Surgery (Coming Soon)
The department is designed and organized to provide safe and effective care. All suites are equipped with self-closing doors for patient privacy. An intercom system is available in each suite to provide communication and assistance in case of emergency.

The Operating Room provides services for elective surgery for inpatients and outpatients:

Monday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Tuesday-Friday: 7:30 – 3:00 PM
Emergency services are provided 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Same Day Services

Same Day Services of Brazosport Regional provides services to any age patient and we ensure the care is delivered in the safest and most effective manner possible for the customer. Same Day Surgery has sixteen beds and provides services including but not limited to:
      · Outpatient blood and blood product administration
      · Pre-Admission Testing and Assessment
      · Preparation and Phase 2 Recovery for Endoscopy, SDS, Cardiac Cath Lab patients and Radiology Patients
      · IV Antibiotic Therapy
      · IV Infusion Therapy
The Same Day Surgery Department is a patient-centered/family oriented environment recognizing and accommodating the unique needs of outpatient customers and their families.

Endoscopy

Brazosport Regional Endoscopy Department provides acute endoscopic procedural services to adults and adolescents patients. These procedures include but are not limited to:
      · Colonoscopy
      · Esophagoduodenoscopy
      · Bronchoscopy
      · Foreign Body Removal
      · Esophageal Dilatation
      · Peg Tube Insertion
Brazosport Regional Endoscopy Department provides elective services:
Monday: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Tuesday-Friday: 7:30 – 3:00 PM

Urgent/Emergent procedure coverage is from:
Monday-Friday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
Friday at 3:00 PM – Monday at 7:00 AM
