Set for Wednesday, May 15, the annual Women’s Health Conference is designed to bring community women together for a day of education, inspiration, and FUN! CHI St. Luke’s Health Brazosport and Brazosport College Community Education Center partner each year to host the all day event.

The interactive Women’s Health Conference will feature, Keynote Speaker, Mary Lou Retton. Mary Lou catapulted to international fame by winning the All-Around Gold Medal in women’s gymnastics at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, becoming the first American woman ever to win a gold medal in gymnastics. She also won silver medals for Team and Vault, and bronze medals for Uneven Bars and Floor Exercise. Her five medals were the most won by any athlete at the 1984 Olympics.

Today she continues to touch the lives of millions. A national sports survey found Retton to be the most popular athlete in America. She is in great demand as a motivational speaker and corporate spokesperson and also travels the world as a “Fitness Ambassador” promoting the benefits of proper nutrition and regular exercise.

In addition, the conference remains unique with a variety of interesting health-related topics. It is dedicated to educating women to make informed decisions about their well-being and to become inspired to take charge of their health. It will offer sixteen breakout sessions lead by local physicians and business professionals.

This year will offer an array of vendors that provide healthcare screenings, resources and pampering. The conference presents a day where women can step out of their busy lifestyles and focus on taking care of themselves for one day. It is a time to connect with local women and make new friends. Attendees are guaranteed to leave the conference motivated and rejuvenated!

For a day of seminars, screenings, networking and lunch, the registration fee is $35. For more information about the Conference or to register, please call 979-285-1823 or to purchase a ticket click here.
